12:45 PM: Victim’s family lawyer Amartya De stated before the verdict, "The victim was not only physically killed, but her soul was also killed. Those involved in this act should receive the maximum punishment as per the law."

1:16 PM: Before the verdict, the victim's father targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, saying, "The Chief Minister herself said she stayed awake until 2 AM monitoring. I want to know what her interest was. The CBI has said that evidence was destroyed. Not only the civic volunteer but all the guilty will be brought forward." Meanwhile, the victim's parents are heading towards Sealdah Court. The father of the raped and deceased doctor added, "I hope all the culprits will be punished. No one will be spared."

1:29 PM: A large crowd gathered outside Sealdah Court, with several organizations holding protests demanding justice. The victim's family continues to express hope for justice.

1:30 PM: The judge has not arrived in the courtroom yet. Tight police security is in place in front of his seat.

1:32 PM: As Sealdah Court prepares to announce its verdict in the RG Kar rape-murder case, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla remarked, "The public and protesting doctors will decide whether justice was served." He expressed doubts, claiming, "More than one person was involved." Poonawalla accused the TMC government of destroying evidence and prioritizing the protection of the hospital principal over justice for the victim. He also criticized the government for shielding the accused and threatening protesting doctors. Poonawalla added, "It seems the TMC government's priority was to save the rapist."

1:48 PM: The parents of Abhaya have arrived in the courtroom. The CBI SP and the lawyer are also present in the court.

1:55 PM: As Sealdah Court prepares to announce the verdict in the RG Kar rape-murder case, Vinay Agrawal, Chairman of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), said, "The entire country is eagerly waiting for the judgment. Justice should be done for our doctor. A lady doctor in a prominent medical college was brutally raped and murdered on duty. This enraged not just the medical profession but the entire country. Medical colleges across India shut down, and the IMA called for stringent punishment for the accused."

2:01 PM: The verdict in the RG Kar case is expected at 2:30 PM in Sealdah Court. Lawyers from all parties involved are present in the courtroom for the proceedings

2:19 PM: Judge Anirban Das, has arrived in the courtroom and ordered the presentation of Sanjay Roy. There is increased activity in the courtroom. The judge warned, "Do not cause a disturbance, or I will hold the hearing in a closed room."

2:24 PM: Sanjay was presented in court. The judge said, "You committed assault, rape, and murder. Your crime is proven."

2:26 PM: The judge declared, "You are guilty. 10 years or death for rape, 25 years or life for assault, death penalty for murder by strangulation." The case will be resolved on Monday.

2:19 PM: In court, Sanjay said, "If I had committed the crime, the Rudraksha mala around my neck would have broken. We are poor, we have been framed. Why is the real criminal outside?"

2:35 PM: The judge stated, "Significant flaws in the police and hospital management have been found, which I have mentioned in my judgment. Some confusion was also noted." The hearing will continue on Monday at 12:30 PM, with the sentence announced in the evening.
